Bespoke Programmes

Working in partnership

All our programmes are designed and developed specifically for the needs of your young people. Your programme location, duration and course content will be a bespoke package. We work in full consultation with each young persons sponsoring organisation to ensure maximum benefit for each individual.

The following are examples of programmes that are available.

½ or 1 Day programmes

We come to you and provide a day of mentoring, activity and development at your site or a venue near to you. This often works well as a pre-cursor to a residential programme or simply an intervention to engage the young people for a specific purpose. Perhaps to prepare them for working together as group for the new academic year, or to be part of a longer intervention that you are involved in.

2 Day Residential

A two day, one night residential would be most appropriate for the same reasons as a 1 day programme, but coupled with the social interaction that comes from spending time away together, becomes a very powerful shared experience.

5 Day Residential

Our traditional programme format allows for a more potent learning and development experience to take place. Living and working together, 24 hours a day with the mentors, the young people are given a breathing space from everyday pressures to really find out what they are capable of and how to make the positive changes in their attitudes and behaviours that will help them to succeed.

4 Week Residential

This is not a programme suitable for all young people but for those who it is, it is a truly life changing experience. This is a chance to make some really fundamental changes in attitude, core values and behaviour, during an intervention that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Extended Partnership Programmes

A modular programme that can be woven into your current interventions or curriculum. This can be delivered over a period of 3 to 9 months, either on a weekly or monthly basis. The emphasis here, being on a truly joined-up intervention.

AE NETWORK 

This is a modular programme of Adventure Therapy that provides a foundation for change through building supportive relationships with parents and adults. It is a programme of 6 modules that can be interwoven with the ongoing routine for the young people involved incorporating a strong element of parental/adult support.

Following an introduction event, the six module course will commence. These modules are:

• Communicate
• Respect
• Cooperate
• Discover
• Recall
• Share

Assessment

Where appropriate it is intended that the benefits the programme has had should be measurable in order to support the learners personal growth and assist them in achieving the goals they have specified in their action plan. i2i Development Solutions Ltd have developed an assessment tool that enables either mentors or learner to monitor and asses their own development based around 4 key skills: Problem Solving, Decision Making, Communicating with each other and Working together as detailed earlier.

By comparing performance in these 4 areas against a table of criteria an individual can monitor their own progress and use the result to form their own action plan for further learning and development. Mentors can also use the tool in a group context to assist in the monitoring of a number of learners and provide a clear audit trial and evidence of an individuals progress.

 This simple tool can be supplied as a database that stores all information and provides an instant record and history of each individual. It can be searched and queried as required and produce all the relevant forms and reports. i2i can tailor the content and functionality for the organisation to meet their requirements.
