Adventure Therapy Open Programme

WHY? This programme is an Adventure Therapy programme for young people who are presenting challenging behaviour and is designed to help a young person identify the areas of their life that challenge them the most and develop powerful new strategies for personal behavioural change that will enable them to move forward in life with confidence and direction.
WHAT? The programme will last 6 days and will be based initially in South Wales, moving to different locations depending upon the days activity. Delegates will experience a range of Adventurous Activities including Rock Climbing/Abseiling, Canoeing, Hill Walking, Camping, as part of a holistic Therapeutic programme. Candidates will be accommodated in bunkhouses or under canvas and costs cover equipment (sleeping bag, waterproofs and rucksack will be provided), travel during the programme, food and instruction. Delegates will also take part in group discussion work, one to one performance coaching and action planning. Families will be given a written report on their childs progress along with a copy of an Action Plan that has been agreed by their child.
- Delegates will be collected form a central pick-up point and returned to the same place on completion of the programme.
- Delegates will be involved in all activities working as a team to achieve the objectives of each day, both domestic and activity.
- Each delegate will take part in their own personal breakthrough therapy sessions as well as group discussions and reviews.
